The Community Prayer Day is scheduled to take place on 22nd January 2019 at MMUST Graduation Square (G- Square) as from 9:30 am.

The Guest speaker will be Bishop Emeritus Dr. Boniface Adoyo from Christ is the Answer Ministries (CITAM).

The Guest choir at the event will be Kayamba Africa.

The event is organised under the theme “If my people, which are called by name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” – 2 Chronicles 7:14.

The Community Prayer Day will be hosted by:

-Masinde Muliro University Seventh Day Adventists (MMUSDA)

– Masinde Muliro University Christian Union(MMUCU)

-Masinde Muliro University Catholic Association (MMUCA)

– Muslim Brothers

The event shall be presided over by the Acting Vice Chancellor of Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, Prof. Bosire.

MMUST Community Prayer Day follows a series of deaths that have hit the University from 23rd December 2018. The death toil include both comrades and the university staff.

Among those who have passed away within the last few weeks include Dr. Carolyne Onyancha was the Registrar of Academic Affairs and Dr. Bob Mbori who was the Dean, School of Arts and Social Sciences (SASS).
